Friends of Waimanalo is a group of community leaders, who live and/or work primarily in the Waimanalo community. The group meets once a month, at which time the APIYVPC provides updates on various research and mobilization projects. In addition, The Friends of Waimanalo group alerts the APIYVPC of different community activities and endeavors that interface with youth violence prevention efforts, while also offering suggestions on how to engage community residents and utilize data for community-driven projects.
