Judge Bode Uale, J.D.
Judge Bode Uale has been a District Family Judge in the Honolulu Family Court System since 1991.
In addition to his duties in the courtroom, Judge Uale is a member of numerous organizations and has received many distinguished awards. He is a member of the Disproportionate Minority Contact (DMC) Committee for the Juvenile Justice State Advisory Committee, Hawai‘i State Trial Judges Association, and National Council of Juvenile & Family Court Judges. He also received the “Distinguished Service to Children & Families” Award from the Child & Parents Advocates Section of the Hawai‘i State Bar Association in 1994, as well as the Brigham Young University Hawai‘i Alumni Association’s Honored Alumnus Award in the Social Sciences Division in 1999. Judge Uale stays involved with the community in other ways by serving as a Volunteer Leader for the Boy Scouts of America, and speaking for schools and other community action groups including The Department of Education, The Judiciary and The Honolulu Police Department.
Judge Uale received his B.A. at Brigham Young University, Hawai‘i, and his J.D. at The William S. Richardson School of Law at the University of Hawai‘i. He is married to Mrs. Beth Piilani Parker. They have four children together.
