Paul Perrone Paul Perrone, M.S.

Mr. Paul Perrone is Chief of Research and Statistics for the Department of the Attorney General for the State of Hawai‘i. The Department of the Attorney General provides legal and other services to the State, including the agencies, officers and employees of the Executive, Legislative and Judicial branches of Hawai‘i’s government. Mr. Perrone and his staff conduct a wide variety of criminological studies, often in collaboration with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the U.S. Bureau of Justice Statistics, the National Justice Research & Statistics Association, virtually all criminal justice agencies in Hawaii, and/or other academic and research institutions. He also serves as the Director of the Hawai‘i Federally-Designated Statistical Analysis Center for Criminal Justice Data and Analyses, as well the state’s participation in the national Uniform Crime Reporting Program.

Mr. Perrone oversees the evaluation of criminal justice programs and projects, provides consultation and technical assistance on crime-related topics, serves on a variety of task forces, committees & advisory boards, and works on legislative issues. Mr. Perrone previously worked as a Research Associate at the University of Hawai‘i’s Youth Gang Project. He also worked for several years as a counselor for juvenile offenders.

Mr. Perrone received his B.A. in Psychology at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, and his M.S. in Sociology at the University of Hawai‘i at Manoa.
