Outcomes: Outcomes refer to the intended effects of cumulative program activities (mediated by the outputs).
-
Improved practice and policy refers to systematic, positive changes implemented by schools, local and state departments, other public agencies, and community-based organizations.
-
Reduction of risk factors and increase in protective factors in the defined community will result from the activities, outputs, and practice/policy changes.
-
Improved practice and policy as well as reduction of risk factors/increase in protective factors can also lead to expansion of resources beyond the initial funding agency.
-
Moreover, the APIYVPC will seek to gain recognition for the defined community at local, national, and international levels for its progress in reducing IYV and for partnerships and collaborations that are established.
-
The APIYVPC anticipates that its success at improving practice and policy, reducing risk factors, and increasing protective factors, will lead to the development of a national prototype for the IYV-prevention and a reduction of IYV among API youths in the Kailua-Waimanalo Community.
