 Sharon Majit-Gorion, A.A.
Ms. Sharon Majit-Gorion is Community Building Coordinator for the Queen Lili‘uokalani Children’s Center, Waimanalo Satellite. The Children’s Center is a private child welfare organization dedicated to serving Hawaiian orphans and destitute children.
Ms. Majit-Gorion is a board member for the Friends of Waimanalo, a non-profit organization consisting of community members committed to helping the people of Waimanalo. This agency assists other local programs, including the Waimanalo Library and nearby elementary schools. Ms. Majit-Gorion is also on the founding board of directors for the O‘ahu Rural Health Association, and is an avid speaker on substance abuse prevention. Her talks have carried her to many venues, including the Kamehameha Schools Campus and the annual Global Public Health Conference. Ms. Majit-Gorion is on the advisory boards of the Salvation Army’s Family Treatment Services, Waimanalo Roundtable and Hui Malama o ke Kai (an after school prevention program). She is also a deaconess and sings for the Praise and Worship team at Kailua Pentecostal Church.
