F. Petelo Sele is a native son of American Samoa, but has spent many childhood summers in Hawaii, Aotearoa (New Zealand), and the United States' mainland. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Hawaii at Manoa in 2004 in Ehtnic Studies with an emphasis on Pacific Islands and is working for his Graduate Degree in Secondary Education with Chaminade University. Having been around most of the Pacific, he has a keen interest in Asian-Pacific Island developments, and is now utilizing what he knows in assisting the Center as a Research Associate.
