Dr. Earl S. Hishinuma earned his Ph.D. in Psychology from the University of Hawaii at Manoa in 1990. He has been with the Department of Psychiatry, John A. Burns School of Medicine (University of Hawaii at Manoa) since 1996, and is currently the Executive Vice Chair and Vice Chair of Research of the Department. His interests related to Asian/Pacific Islander youth violence prevention include: cross-cultural psychology, child-adolescent education and development, mental health, program evaluation research, psychometrics, and advanced statistics.
