Dr. Deborah Goebert earned her Dr.P.H. from the University of Hawaii at Manoa in 2000. Since 1996, she has been with the Department of Psychiatry, John A. Burns School of Medicine, University of Hawaii at Manoa. She is currently the Associate Director of Research and Resident Research Director for the Department. Her research interests include prevention of, and early intervention for, youth violence, suicide, and substance use among Asian and Pacific Islander groups, cultural expectancies, ecological modeling, community development, and women's mental health and child development.
