Kathryn L. Braun, Dr.P.H., serves as the Director of Evaluation for the A/PIVPC. She also is Professor of Public Health and Social Work at the University of Hawaii and serves as Research Director for `Imi Hale--Native Hawaiian Cancer Network. She has more than 100 publications exploring ethno-geriatrics, health disparities, and developing and testing health promotion materials and interventions. She is author of the faculty and study guides forwith the telecourse, Growing Old in a New Age, and co-editor of the books, Cultural Issues in End-of-Life Decision Making and Teaching Students Geriatric Research. She is a fellow of the Gerontological Society of America and Association for Gerontology in Higher Education, and received a Board of Regent's Award for Excellence in Teaching from the University of Hawaii in 1998. She also serves as a trainer and evalution consultant for local and foreign programs, and currently is helping to develop gerontology training programs in Thailand and to build re search capacity in American Samoa. |
