Amy Agbayani, Ph.D.
Dr. Amy Agbayani is currently the Director for the Student Equity, Excellence and Diversity (SEED) Programs at the University of Hawai‘i at Manoa. The SEED program recognizes underrepresented groups in higher education, and provides programs for the recruitment and success of students from these groups. The program also provides administrative support to committees at the Manoa campus, and system-wide, that are addressing diversity issues.
Dr. Agbayani is former President of the Filipino Community Center, as well as Region 12 Vice Chair of the National Federation of Filipino American Associations (NaFFAA). She serves as a board member for the Hawai‘i Community Foundation, University of the Philippines—Hawai‘i Alumni Chapter, Inter-Agency Council for Immigrant Services, Hawai‘i Aloha United Way, and “Leadership, Education for the Asian Pacific” Program.
Dr. Agbayani received her B.S. in Political Science from the University of the Philippines, and M.A. & Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Hawai‘i at Manoa.
