Activities: Activities are the things APIYVPC provides and does.
-
Developmental activities include developing a research agenda and mobilization plan. The research agenda outlines mechanisms for identifying research priorities, selecting research projects, recruiting research participants, refining research methods, developing culturally appropriate interventions/programs, conducting research, and disseminating research findings. The community mobilization plan is developed concurrently in collaboration with community stakeholders and relates to the research agenda. These two plans inform the activities depicted in the 2nd column.
-
The 2nd column of activities depict the APIYVPC’s work to improve surveillance, conduct culturally responsive research, build individual and community capacity; and implement the mobilization plan.
-
The improved surveillance activity refers to obtaining, analyzing, and interpreting the data to help the defined community better measure the problem of IYV.
-
Building individual and community capacity refers to the APIYVPC’s training, technical assistance, and mentoring programs for individuals and community groups.
-
Implementation of the mobilization plan refers to the nurturance of community partners to implement evidence-based interventions.
